Safety Testing

Here at Cahill Dental Care, we are committed to practicing Mercury Free Dentistry. We do not place any mercury fillings, and any patients with existing mercury fillings can be assured that we use the proper equipment to remove the mercury safely.

Our Sterilization and Laboratory Technician tests the air quality of the clinic annually to verify our protocols are meeting our strict standards. The technician uses a Jerome Mercury Vapor Analyzer to take air quality samples in every room of the office and read during procedures where mercury is being removed. A Jerome Analyzer can measure mercury levels as low as 0.003 milligrams per cubic meter.

Our most recent air quality testing data provided excellent results and proved that our safety measures for removing mercury during procedures are successful and effective. Also, the baseline air quality tests in all the rooms showed that no mercury was present.
